What moves us
Vision
We believe in a world where people with hearing impairments can live equally everywhere – free from barriers, with access to education, information, and participation.
Sign language, inclusion, and respect should be taken for granted worldwide – from Asia to Africa, from Europe to Latin America.
save the deaf e.V. stands for an inclusive future – fair, global, and full of opportunities.
Goals
Breaking down barriers
We advocate globally for barrier-free access to education, communication, healthcare, and daily life – especially for people with hearing impairments in disadvantaged regions.
Enabling access to education
Children and adults with hearing impairments should have a fair chance at schooling, vocational training, and lifelong learning – regardless of background or income.
Strengthening sign language
We promote the recognition, spread, and use of sign language – locally and internationally – as a key means of communication for many people with hearing impairments.
Providing emergency aid
In crisis and disaster areas, we offer direct support to affected people with hearing impairments – quickly, effectively, and with a focus on their specific needs.
Raising awareness
Through public outreach and projects, we aim to raise awareness in society about the realities of life for people with hearing impairments and to combat prejudice.
Promoting global cooperation
We work with local partners, organizations, and volunteers around the world to provide sustainable and culturally adapted aid – especially in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Providing access to clean water
We build wells in regions where people with hearing impairments are often forgotten. Clean water means not only health, but also dignity and inclusion – especially in schools, residential facilities, or communities we support.
Values
Inclusion – Every person should have equal opportunities.
Transparency – We work openly and with trust.
Commitment – Together, we work for a better future.
Join us!
Whether as a donor, volunteer, or supporter – every contribution counts! Together, we can create a world where people with hearing impairments are not excluded, but fully included.
