A dream becomes reality – The founding of save the deaf
On July 18, 2024, the time had finally come: save the deaf e.V. was officially founded! But the road to this point was not always easy – and that’s exactly why this moment means so much to us.
The long road to founding the association
The idea of founding an association that focuses on supporting people with hearing impairments has accompanied our founder Pascal Kleimeyer for many years. He already attempted twice to launch such a project in North Rhine-Westphalia – but unfortunately, these attempts were unsuccessful.
After his move to southern Germany and with the active support of his partner Elena Evenko, the vision began to take new shape. In 2024, five other dedicated supporters joined Pascal to work on a new beginning together.
Then, on July 18, 2025, it finally happened: During a Zoom meeting, save the deaf e.V. was officially founded! The entry in the official register had already taken place in February 2025 – a major milestone on our journey.
